4th of July
We spent the 4th of July in Malad with my family. There is nothing like the 4th in Malad. We went to my Grandma Parry's and watch the parade in the morning and had a BBQ at her house that afternoon. We went to the city park to enjoy all the activities there. The kids ran in the races and did very well. Paige got 2nd (she had practiced a lot, she is always on a dead run). Later that night we watched the city fireworks and then went back to my Grandma Parry's a shot off some of our own fireworks. We get quite the show at my Grandma's house. She has some neighbors that are really into the 4th and we see big firework shows going off all around her house. Its so much fun. The kids loved it.

Paige Vs. The Tennis Court
In June, Nick had a birthday party at a clubhouse by his house. The kids (I mean adults) were able to play tennis. Paige would not be described as a calm child. She felt that she needed to play some tennis with Ben and his brothers. I took on my usual role of the mother who chases kids around while dad plays games and headed out to the tennis courts to get her. I grabbed her arm as they were getting ready to serve the ball and Paige did not like that so she went limb and throw her legs around my legs. She ended up tripping me and I ended up taking her down with me.

Videos
Enjoy some videos of the kids riding bikes and playing in the water. Paige has no fear of the water as you can see.

Grandma Willie
Once again we have not such a great week. My mom called me last Friday and told me that my Grandma Willie was not doing well. She has had cancer for the last 2 years and nothing was helping her. They were doing Chemo Treatments but they were no longer working. I talked to my dad and he told me that she would be Ok until I got there the next weekend. On Saturday my parents came to Centerville for a family Reunion and again I felt like I should go home with them but didn't. We had watched my Grandpa go through pain and suffering for so long that we thought the same thing would happen with Grandma. On Saturday night I had decided that I was going to Malad on Sunday to see her. I called my sister Melissa to see if she wanted to come with me and that I would pick her up in the morning. On Sunday I got up and got ready to go to Malad. I called my mom told her I was leaving in about 15 minutes and then I finished getting ready. I was just getting ready to get in my car when my mom called and told me that my Grandma had passed away.
My Grandma was an amazing lady and was such a hard worker. She was always out on the farm with my Grandpa helping him do what he felt he needed to do. She was a school teacher for 37 years and then sub for 14 years after she retired. She had an amazing love for the gospel. She loved the gospel with all her heart and nothing could make her doubt the truthfulness of the gospel. She was dedicated to her callings. Two weeks before her passing she was in primary playing the piano with her oxygen and all. The last Sunday that I saw her she was in so much pain that I asked her if I could take her home and she told me, "The day I stop coming to church is the day I will die." She missed one Sunday and the next Sunday she passed away. She was serious about not missing church.
She loved all her Grandkids and great Grandkids so much she never gave us a reason to doubt that. No matter what we did or how much trouble we got into she was always on our side. Even if we were completely wrong, she would stand up for us no matter what. She was at every activity that we were involved in and was always the loudest one in the crowd.
My kids loved going to Grandma's house and play with the M & M machines. Grandma always and her candy jars, M & M machines, & cookie jars full. My kids loved Grandma M & M's house. She never missed a birthday, the kids always looked forward to getting a birthday card from Grandma M & M.
Grandma was one amazing lady that I looked up to very much and will Forever love and miss.
Love you NOW and FOREVER Grandma!!!

My Baby Goes to 1st Grade!!
Maddie started 1st Grade on Tuesday. I can't believe how big she is getting. She was way excited to be able to eat lunch at school and have 3 recesses. I was worried about her and was more nervous then she was. She was so excited to take a lunch to school (which will be something she does most days since we won't eat anything), and she got to be away from Mom all day. Colton on the other hand had a hard time not having Maddie at home to play with all day. Needless to say Mom had a long day with Colton.
After school she had to go to the doctor for her 6 year old check-up (I know I am a little slow). She weighted in at 39 pounds (barely in the 5%) and in the 25% for her height.
All in all she had a great day and is still excited for school. We will see how long that lasts.

St. George 2010
Ben's brother Ryan and his Family were in Utah so we decided to go to St. George and have a long weekend with the Barkers.
We were suppost to go on Thursday night after Ben got off work but I ended up with Strep Throat and so we did leave until early Friday morning. When we got there it was really really hot so the we did a lot of swimming. On Saturday we went to the Washington Community Center. It had a swimming pool that was really shallow that the kids could walk around in it. It has a slides they could go down and it had a lazy river that we went around and around and around in. They had a lot of fun and it got us out of the heat.

Island Park
We make our yearly trip to Island Park again this year. I LOVE THAT PLACE!!! We had so much fun. All of my brother and sisters except for Krishele were there for the whole week. Krishele was only able to come for the weekend because her kids are just to busy, so we missed them. My Grandma Parry was also able to come up for a few days which is always fun when she can come.
The weather was really weird while we were there so we didn't get to do a lot of the stuff that we normally do, like run the river, but we still had a lot of fun water skiing and playing on the waverunners.
On Sunday we went to Mesa Falls. I hadn't been there for a long time and Ben and the kids had never been there. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!! I had forgotten how pretty it was there. The kids really liked it. After we got home from Mesa Falls we went to go shot potatoes out of the Potato Gun. We do this every year and have a great time with it. However this year we had a accident. Branden was on one dock shotting the gun and some of the kids had gone over by him to see him shot it. The kids were having so much fun watching the potatoes land in the water. I was standing on the other dock and heard a load sound and looked over to see Branden pull someone out of the water and he was really limp. I realized it was Colton, who had gone over to the other dock with Ben. I took off run to get Colton, because I thought that he had got hit by the gun and it had knocked him out. Ben grapped him and ran to the top of the dock just has I had gotten there. We started to strip him down to see what had happened and realized he was fine and had just got knocked into the water. Just after that Branden took off running back to camp and realized it had hit my nephew Bronsen. He had a huge bump on his head. They got the swelling to do down and he looked like everything was going to be ok but they ran him to Rexburg to make sure everything was good. We are lucky because Branden is a Intensive Care Nurser so he knew exactly what to do when it all happened. Bronsen ended up being just fine and we are so glad Branden was there to pull Colton out of the water.
We had a great vacation accident and all.
We could never take Paige's life jacket off. She was always getting in the water.
