Memorial Day Weekend

We stayed in Herriman this Memorial Day Weekend. We had a lot of yard work to do and so we choose to stay and get some stuff done, however we did have to have some fun.

We went to the Zoo on Saturday with our good friends Scott and Amy. It was a lot of fun and the kids loved it (Well Colton and Paige did). Maddie has been complaining that her legs hurt so she was not getting out of the stroller. We tired but she would not move. The kids favorite part were the monkeys. The Gorilla had a basket that must of had food in it or something because he would pick it up look at it and then throw it, then walk over to it again and do the same thing. It was really funny. Then we walked over to another window and that monkey was just sitting right by the window and just breathing on the window. The kids were eye to eye with it and they thought that was really cool. Then we went to see the baby monkey and he would climb up the ropes and then push himself toward the window and scare the kids. I guess the monkey thought it was funny because he keep doing it and the kids keep laughing. Maddie had asked us all day long for a mask and I keep telling her that we would get it right before we left so we didn't have to carry it around all day. Well it should have got it at the beginning. She ran was so excited about it that she walked to the car and ran around outside after we got home the rest of the day and never complained about her legs again.

On Sunday we didn't do much. We went to church and then went to the In-Laws and hung out for a while.

Ben pulled our Patio apart a couple of weeks ago so on Monday he worked on finishing the new one that he has built himself. He has done a great job. We has a BBQ with our Scott and Amy again that afternoon. Later that afternoon we went to Nick's Birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Ben played tennis and the kids played at the playground. However Maddie really wanted to play tennis and so she sat and waiting for her dad to play with her. We had some dinner and then they went to play some more tennis. While I was waiting for Ben I was chasing Paige around. She ran out onto the tennis court and so I ran after her so that she didn't get hit by the ball. When I grapped her arm so decided to go limp and fling backwards and somehow got her legs wrapped around mine and we both fell. My poor Paige got the worst of the fall. I felt so bad and I believe I cried more then she did.

Other then Paige getting hurt we had a great weekend.

We did take some time to remember those that have passed on and remembered the good times we had with them. We miss our Grandpa Willie, Grandpa Parry, Grandpa Barker, Grandma Reeder, Uncle Paul, and my cousin Laura.
